What is the 1-700 Service?
1-700 Service lets you decide how you want your colleagues, friends or family to contact you; be it over your TMHomeline/Businessline, mobile phone or fax.
Your 1-700 service supports:
- Ring Tone
- Voice Mail
- SMS
- FAX
How does it work?
Telephone calls:
When a caller calls your 1-700 numbers it will ring the first number defined in your setting. If it is not answered, the call will be automatically be routed to the second, third and fourth number. If the call remains unanswered, the call will be forwarded to your Voice Mail.
SMS:
When a caller sends you a SMS, 1-700 service will route the SMS to the first number in your setting that supports SMS capability.
Fax:
When a caller sends you a FAX, 1-700 service will route the FAX to your FAX destination number.
Note: 1-700 service is currently available to nationwide TM Homeline/Businessline, 013 and 019 only.
How can I subscribe to this service?
• Fill up the application form together with a photocopy of your IC
• Submit your application to the nearest TMpoint
• Choose your 1-700 (numbers will be dependent on availability)You can obtain your forms from the following:
• Any TMpoint outlets
• Download from http://www.1number.com.my/
• Call TM Customer Care Centre at 100 for an application form by fax
What is the age limit to subscribe to this Service?
No limit.
What is the number that can I choose to form my 1-700? How long is the digit? Can I use my mobile or pager number to form this 1-700?
You can choose any number to be used in conjunction with the 1-700 service as long as the last 4-digits for 1-700-80-xxxx is available.
What differentiates 1-700 from the current call diverting / call forwarding?
Call diverting or Call Forwarding can be activated to one telephone number only. 1-700 allows you to nominate 4 telephone numbers and 1 fax number for your calls to be routed to. In addition, you may route your calls to a 1-700 Voice mail service.
Can an overseas caller reach the 1-700 service subscribers?
Not at the moment.
What are the features controlled by the 1-700 subscriber?
- Change settings on 1-700 Service
- change, add or delete destination numbers
- change, add or delete FAX number
- enable/disable Do Not Disturb function
- add/delete call screening numbers
- Change password
- RBT (to purchase RBT and set/change your RBT settings)
- Voice mail (to retrieve Voice mails and set/change your Voice mail settings)

Can I contact the 1-700 subscriber using any type of phone?
Please note that 1-700 service is currently available to nationwide TM Homeline/Businessline, 013 and 019 only.
What is the lead-time from application to activation of this 1-700 service?
The service can be provided within 24 hours.
If I choose to terminate, what is the lead-time for termination of this 1-700 service?
The service can be terminated within 24 hours. However, a minimum of one year subscription will apply.
Is there any minimum subscription period for this service?
Minimum subscription period is 12 months.
What happens if I stop my subscription in less than a year?
You will still be billed for a full year subscription fee.
What is the enquiry number for this 1-700 service?
You may call our Customer Care Centre at 100 for any inquiries. Operating hours are 24X7X365.
If the call is forwarded to my mobile that is roaming, will there be any charge if I don’t pick up?
This will depend on the policy of the overseas mobile operator. Majority of the overseas operators will not charge in this case.
What happens if I have an outstanding account for more than 2 months? Will my 1-700 be suspended? If yes, will anyone be able to contact me through my 1-700?
If you have an outstanding account of more than 2 months, your account will be suspended. You will not be contactable via your 1-700 until you settle your outstanding account.
How long will each phone number ring before the call is routed to the next destination number in my routing plan?
Each number will ring for approximately 18 seconds before the call is routed to the next destination number in the routing plan.
If I am on a longer ringing mode, how long will each phone ring before it is routed to the next number in my routing plan?
Each phone will ring for 18 seconds before the call is routed to the next destination number in the routing plan.
If I’m a 1-700 subscriber and I use my mobile A to send a SMS to mobileB, what number will appear on receiver Mobile B? 1-700 or mobile A number?
Mobile A number.
If I’m a 1-700 subscriber and I use my mobile A to make a phone call to Mobile B, what number will appear on the receiver mobile B? 1-700 or mobile A number?
Mobile A number.
Is there any registration fee?
There is a one-time registration fee of RM10. However, this fee is currently waived until the end of 2006.
How many destination numbers are allowed for the 1-700 service?
A total of 5 destination numbers is allowed at any one point of time. Calls will be routed sequentially for the first four (4) destination numbers. The fifth (5) destination number is reserved for your fax number.
What numbers can I use as the destination numbers?
You can use nationwide TM fixed line numbers and Celcom (013, 019)
What numbers can I call to 1-700?
1-700 is currently available to callers from nationwide TM fixed line, 013, and 019 (CELCOM).
Can I have only 2 destination numbers for the 1-700 service?
Yes, you can even nominate 1 destination number if you wish.
Can I use my father or relative's phone numbers as the destination number(s)?
Yes you can, though it is advisable for you to inform your father or relative before using their phone numbers as a destination number.
Can I set one of my destination number as a fax number?
Yes. The fifth (5) destination number is reserved as your dedicated fax number.
Can I use the fifth destination number for a mobile or fixed line number?
No. The fifth (5) destination number is reserved as your dedicated fax number.
What happens to the call if one of the destination number is ceased?
If one of the destination number is ceased, the call routing can still take place till the call is answered. If the call is not answered, it will be forwarded to the Voice mail.
Can I replace the destination number(s) by another number(s)?
Yes, you can change the destination number(s) via IVR at 1-700-800800 or go to http://www.1number.com.my to update the profile settings to the 1-700 number.
Can I replace the destination number(s) by another number(s)? What happens if I activate a call transfer feature on one of the destination numbers?
The telephone number on which Call Transfer/Forward is activated will ring. However, the call will not be routed according to it’s sequence set in your 1-700 routing plan. You are advised not to activate Call Transfer on any of the destination telephone numbers.
If I would like to make any changes to the routing number(s), what should I do to update the routing number records?
You can add, change or delete any of the destination numbers by calling IVR at 1700-800-800 or go to www.1number.com.my to update your routing records.
Can I change the destination number settings?
Yes, you can change the destination number settings that will be changed real time as frequently required.
As a 1-700 subscriber, do I have to subscribe in order to use Voice mail?
No. As a 1-700 subscriber, you are given a complimentary Voice mail that can store up to 10 messages. Voice mail retrieval will be charged at RM0.30/minute.
As a 1-700 subscriber, do I have to subscribe in order to use RBT?
No. As a 1-700 subscriber, you are entitled to use the RBT without any additional subscription fee. However, downloads will be charged accordingly.
How do I activate my RBT?
Your 1-700 Service comes with RBT capability. There is no additional subscription fee for RBT. You only pay for the song downloads.
Under RBT, will there be any caller group feature? If yes, what is the maximum phone number that can be entered for each group?
Yes. Your RBT comes with a maximum of 3 caller groups and for each group you can nominate a maximum of 5 contact numbers.
How much does each RBT cost?
The pricing varies from downloads to downloads. Please check the cost of the download at www.1number.com.my.
If I have queries regarding 1-700 billing, what shall I do?
Please contact the nearest TMpoint or call our Call centre at 100.
E. Short Message Service (SMS)
Can SMS be routed? If yes, which destination number will it route to?
SMS will be routed to the first destination that supports SMS capability. For example, if your first destination number is your office number, your second destination number is your mobile (019) number and your third number is your mobile (013) number, you SMS will be routed to your 019 number.

Calls to 1-700-800800 from any TM Homeline/Businessline are charged at 4sen/minute
Calls to Voice Mail from any TM Homeline/Businessline are charged at 30sen/minute
When and how will the call be charged?
Callers
• For fixed line-to-fixed line or fixed line-to-mobile calls, normal call rates shall apply.
• For mobile-to-fixed line and mobile-to-mobile calls, please check call rates with your mobile phone operator.
• For SMS and fax, normal rates apply.
